Judy paints and draws the things she loves - rodeo life, cowboys, wildlife & mountains. Her life experiences come through her pencil drawings and paintings, and bring the viewer into her world, giving them a sense of peace and comfort.
Raised in the Fraser Valley in and around the farming communities, Judy began riding horses as a teenager and has remained a horsewoman all her life. She has competed in many gymkhanas, rodeos and large horse shows. One highight was being chosen the first recipient of the Miss Horsemanship title in the Cloverdale Rodeo Queen Pageant. As an avid trail rider, Judy competed in the gruelling 50 mile endurance ride and race once hosted in Abbotsford.
When viewing her work you can almost smell the horses sweat and feel the cool air the rider is breathing in.
